Spotting scope question

Anyone use or are familiar with one of the Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 20-60 x80 (45 degree) Spotting Scopes?

I'm going to pick one up soon of some kind or another. This one seems to have quite a few favorable reviews. Some of the Vortex reviews on $500 scopes haven't been that great. The same with the Leupold.

no but I have a twentyfiveish year old bushnell trophy 15 x45 x60 that was worth every penny I paid for it. think it was around $200 back then

I'm finding that dishing out $500 or $600 for a spotting scope requires some thought and the asking of questions. Last thing I want to do is shell out $500 for something that doesn't work.

About 35 years a go I bought a Legend Mine is rubber coated and still works good up to about 40 power it never did focus well enough over that to suit me.
O n the other hand I bought a new Leopold SX-1 Ventana 20x60 X 80mm and it works clear a bell on all powers, is easy to focus and I am thrilled with it.
I believe that the 80 mm lens makes a big difference on high powers.

Because I shoot long range, how well will it show .45 holes at 400yds?

This one?

It shows them well at 250 which is all I have available, so I really can not say.
For myself if I were going to shoot 400 yds. I would be inclined toward 100x by 100 mm.

The CFO is only going to let me go so far, then the word, "NO!" is spoken. I have to be careful, as I don't like being pushed down and made to eat dirt. Especially when I have a couple other expensive items I'm looking at.
