Default 160gr RR Thor

A couple 160gr reduced recoil thors i found on the range a while back when testing. They hit a muddy sand bank and fully opened, retaining full weight. They were shot with 100gr BH209 @ 100 yards.

Im still working on an accurate load for them.

Just saw these from CEB

MZ Raptor 160gr. Retained weight 95gr so they function kinda like a Lehigh but they are made from copper.

I'm generally not one to fuss too much over the cost of a HUNTING bullet but 28.08 for a dozen bullets is pretty much to me on the absolute ridiculous side of the scale.

Put those 160s in your 1:66 twist (with wad or yellow cornmeal) and it may surprise you what they do at 100 yards. I seem to recall 80gr Goex FFF with my 180 Precisions in my long-rifle.

Only time I tried a 245 Powerbelt in my 1:66, would deliver a sideways bullet beyond 75 yards or-so. Just too heavy and those lightweight 160s should fare better in a slow twist. Just don't let powder onto any snow beyond the muzzle.

Wait. what snow?
