It should be softer than a thor. We've had complete bullet expansion on thors at 175 yards with just a 105gr charge and 100gr BH209 charges.

yeah i'm planning on 100 grs. for the 270 gr bullet when i test the 350's i'll start at 80 grs
|
Those lead 350 Feds tested very well at slower velocities. Fantastic expansion as well as great penetration. Those puppies look mean.

Feds, Thors, Powerbelt Platinums..... all good-to-go bullets. I have never studied the Harvester Saber Tooth bullets. They get no discussion here.

350g Federal Test
Here is a LINK to a test of the bullet using 80g Blackhorn. Then we tested the same bullet using only 50g Blackhorn.

so here are the targets from last week using 120 grs bh209 270 gr federal bor lok shot off bench
|
here are the targets from today they are all 80 grs bh209 some 270 gr and some 350 gr fed bor lok. almost out of powder would like to play around some more with the loads. all shots with no cleaning between shots gun is easy to load from the first shot to the last. i think i'm a fan of this rifle! sorry tried to turn photo's but not cooperating ! i used the slash above the center dot for my 50 yard shots and i used the center dot for the 100 yard shots.
