Sidehill it. Coming straight down is for kids.

hey when i got an elk, i came down part of that mountain on my back when i pulled the half of the elk to hard and it slid a lot easier than i expected. I fell straight onto my back and slid down a good ways lol.

Hips too...hips too.

Our son was near 35 year old, before i was able to convince him, that in a way, it was just as easy, or easier, to pack elk up, as down. Well, i guess it wasn't me that did the convincing, it was that elk that was so much closer to the upper road, than the lower road.

However, i still like to hunt up, if possible.

Hell it doesn't take a hill to get my old hips a hurting. Just slow stalking makes every bone in my lower body hurt.
