Sweet Grouse! Beautiful rifle... and yes, super nice job on the dipping.

What camo pattern is that?

That is the bolt quick release. The std rifles come with a screw, but you can get that and replace the screw. I think there were some models that actually came with it from Knight ... I wish they all did.

All of the new Knights come with the quick release for the bolt. If you choose to make this modification on an older Knight you will need to drill out and tap the existing hole.

QR bolt, makes everything so simple.

Yeah I knew about the drill & tap. I didn't know the new ones came with them, good deal.

I'd like to have them on my rifles...but it really ain't that hard to use the allen wrench, and it only comes out when I clean the gun so I haven't been overly concerned about it. If I had a drill press I might be more inclined to change them.

How much does the part cost?

I really do not remember what the cost is. I bought 6 of them at one time planning making the switch - but have never followed through. As you say 'what's the difficulty in using an Allen Wrench key for the few times I need to take the bolt out.'

I will see if I can find out the cost but the guy handling those questions is out of the building for awhile hunting.
