I'm glad you picked up on that. I bought those boots for normal cold weather hunts like in Colorado. But when I go in September if I draw a tag they won't be used. A nice pair of goretex hiking boots non insulated will be the choice. I need support on my ankles cause the terrain is pretty tuff.
