Me, there is no way i could hunt with insulated shoes during the elk rut. If it helps your hunt, i hope it works good, and hopefully you will experience the thrill of bugling elk.

I'm glad you picked up on that. I bought those boots for normal cold weather hunts like in Colorado. But when I go in September if I draw a tag they won't be used. A nice pair of goretex hiking boots non insulated will be the choice. I need support on my ankles cause the terrain is pretty tuff.
