Default OT -But Nice Colorado Bull

Got this picture sent tonight via text... Grouse and his neighbor made the trip to Colorado to do some hunting during the CO rifle season. Grouse is using his Knight Ulite and the neighbor he invited is using a good old get everything 30-06

This evening the 30-06 barked...

Grouse passed on a 5x5 bull, which is probably good because they have their work cut out for them getting this one out of the woods. He also indicated they were getting a pretty good snow storm now.

I have almost forgot what snow might be it been warm and dry here all month...

What?? You mean to sit there and try to tell all us intelligent folks that he killed that beast with a non magnum cartridge????!!!! I mean I have heard all the stories of beasties being taken with such puny things as the little ole 06 but I never imagined those stories were anything but old wives tales.

Nice! I agree, alot of meat there. And alot of work ahead I'm sure. That is something us folks back east don't have to contend with.

Congrats! Hopefully Grouse's UL will bark soon too!

He was really excited and couldn't believe I new he was going to get it Monday night. I put him right were I scouted for myself. Colorado is full of Bull Elk and nice Mule Deer bucks. I'm gonna do something different next year in Colorado for sure. Going to order a GPS this month and start playing with it so I don't get lost. Not sure if he's going back, but he's definitely not ready for a ML yet. But that's another story lol
