Default New Mexico Hunts - Pics and Stories

Lots of pictures to add down the road when I am not drained. I need a few days to recharge as it was a very long 7 day hunt. Stories will come later.

My brother in laws deer he got on day 4. 27 3/4" wide and a 5x7

100gr Blackhorn209, 250gr Thor ballistic tip, CCI 209M primers.

It was quite a long drag without my game cart LOL. Hey, I had NO room in that jeep.

Mine a lil 3x1 on day 6 with 110gr Jim Shockeys Gold Super Powder, 338gr Powerbelt Platinum, CCI 209M primer.

Roberts deer on the 7th and final day with 20 some odd minutes before the season closed. This is his first ever big game animal and he took it with a muzzle loader at 131 yards! 80gr Blackhorn209, 260gr Harvester Scorpion PT Gold with a neck shot that dropped it on the spot.

A lot more pics of the hunts, just to tired to edit and post them right now. Roberts deer was small antlered like mine but a beast in body weight.

A great season but holy smokes! A season that wears you OUT.

Great pictures too. I really like the on with the two guys dragging that wide rack toward the vehicles in the background. It made my back ache.

back ache is right! I feel crippled right now with my back and leg hurting the way it is right now.

We had 5 days of mid 70s to high 80s which caused the deer to just hide in the thick stuff.

Congrats on a great hunt and nice pics. All I can say about the dragging deer part is that I can't quite do that these days. Let's just say I walk with a cane at the age of 50 and my friends say I have more metal in me than a 57 Chevy. All 3 are nice deer and y'all took'em with a muzzleloader on your own terms. I am glad y'all had a very successful hunt.

Sounds like you and I use the same mechanic,,oops I mean Doctor, slowburn I can't walk through an airport anymore. I just walk up and tell them I have screws, pins, plates and various other metal parts so just do what you have to do cuzz that metal detector is going to go absolutely nuts!

Nice job on the deer MD. Congrats on some good eatin!
