More good luck

First i was drawn for a managed 2 doe ML hunt in a very high success rate area and then this guy shows up at the property.

Sadly these are the only pics of him during day light. There are tons of him after legal hunting hours. Hopefully his pattern will change and he wont lose any points before we get a chance at him. His G2s are very long and slender.

I have to chuckle. We had a doe only hunting season one year to "thin" the herd. And I was in a deer blind watching an area and out walks one of the best bucks I had seen in my gun sights. I did throw the scope on him but never took the safety off or touch the trigger. It was a real pleasure to think ... I could have.

I was tempted to put in for the other date (1 buck+1 doe) on the same conservation area but that hunt is even more popular. It has many really big bucks too. I wont feel as bad now passing on those bucks during my managed hunt since i know this fella is hanging out in my usual hunting spot. The pics are literally right under my tree "house".
I will see if i can get one of the night time pics posted that shows his G2s better. These pics don't do them justice. Its been awhile since ive seen a rack this nice that wasn't broken on the property. Our firearms season is during the rut and ive seen lots of broken racks after it starts.
