This test was done to compare our muzzle loader bullet performance with the performance of a modern center fire rifle bullet. The bullet tested was a 120 grain, 264 caliber Nosler Ballistic Tip. The range was 204 yard. According to calculation, the bullet was traveling at about 2325 fps at impact.

The bullet went through the carpet, plywood, shredded the first two jugs, went through the third, and was captured by the fourth. It now weighs 74.6 grain.

Ron, I think your testing does a pretty good job of simulating the performance you would get on a live animal. Sure, its not perfect but pretty darn close I think. Certainly better than just water jugs alone. Appreciate you taking the time and putting in the effort to do all the testing you have. It gives a great sampling of bullet performance. Maybe one day all the threads can be put in one spot on this forum, for easy reference.
And fwiw, my dad shoots those bullets. We found 1 in a buck he shot a few years ago, and it looked similar to what you posted. Did its job well.
