I shot my shotgun Hawken today so I took the lock apart and coated the parts.

Thanks for the info. That sounds like the perfect lube for the working parts of the black rifle to keep it from siezing from too much rapid firing.

Shoot, now that you mentioned seizing up, I'll try it on the arbor of my 1860 .44! After I test my lock first, Im not getting to crazy and doing everything at once if it doesn't turn out to be good.

heres a pic of what it looks like. This was just after applying it. Over the first hour as it dried, it smoothed out a lot. 4 hours into the process and I lightly scratched a nail over it and it seems dry but i'll give it till morning.

Also, if you try one, be sure that when you shake it up and go to press down on something to start the flow, make sure its over something safe like a towel or a paper plate, it shot out all over the place when I pushed the tip down onto a piece of paper that was on my desk. After that the flow was just on the brush and easy to work with.

I wonder how that would work on the hinge pin of a modern SXS shotgun instead of greasy stick pin lube or gun slick.

supposedly its made for things like that. Slides,magazines,bolts, etc.
