heading to Colorado for an Elk hunt this year and can't use a scope. looking for a quick release mount so I can remove it and use back home (NY) when deer season opens without having to re-site (of course i'll verify return to zero when testing it.

that said, what is the best QR scope mount out there that will allow me to see over the QR base and use my open sights?

If you are still using the Nikon Omega 3x9x40, you will need the medium rings. I have the same style rings and bases on a Knight using the Omega 3x9x40 BDC250 scope.

Warnes hands down IMO. I use them all the time, take them off to clean the scopes and put them back on with very little to no change in POI.

I will 2nd the Warnes rings, they sit on all my White rifles.
