Patterning my 12g. 25 & 50 yards
O.P.C = Over Powder Card
WAD = That huge cork lookin wad
I did a good deal of reading and they recommended 75gr 2fg and 1oz of 7 1/2 shot, So I may give that a try this evening and see how she does.
One of the loads I tried ( Not in the ideo) left my cheek feeling broken under the eye socket. THAT was not enjoyable one bit

i load my 12 and 10 gage both the same as store bought loads show , small game i use a 20 ga load in both for cotton tail or squirrel for trap 1 and 11/8 oz and 11/4 and 11/2 in the 10 ga for duck or turkey best part about a ML shotgun you can load for what you want dosnt hurt a thing to shoot a 20 ga load in a 10 gage get good pattern to . I like fffg powder best in shotguns, I like mod choke barrels for ML or mod screw in chokes seems it dosnt tear up the wads as bad when loading

I cut my over shot wad from star foam plates they work good and dont let the shot fall out and donsnt scatter your pattern like a to heavy of over shot wad will .
I notice in the video all 3 shot pattern were way low and that is the way most ML shot guns shoot if you hold your cheek tight on stock and you get whacked too. I want my guns to shoot at 70/30 .
a layer of mole skin will lift your cheek and lift your shot pattern thicker the pad higher the pattern .

I have a New Englander TC 12 ga. That i started to pattern for turkey season. I used shot cups and it seemed to work better for me then going without them. Still need the time, place and energy to get 'er done!!!

i hear you on the time & energy part! Just got back from a long day fishing, hiking and 4x4ing. Had a blast in the jeep but holy crapola! My body feels like someone beat me with a stick! Not built for comfort in '73!
Saw some grouse while 4x4ing and with some of the bushes starting to turn yellow ( Yes already!) it really had my heart thumping for grouse season to start.

I am interested in getting mine ready for next spring's turkey hunt. I think I will take the TC with me to my hunt camp and pattern it there. My local gun club makes it hard to pattern it there. Our shotgun pattern range is next to and connected to our 50 yd range. Too long between shots to "Get here done!!"
