Default Just a little info about last season and this season

I was doing my normal summer clean up on my guns. I like to run one oil patch down all my muzzleloaders and rifles. Just to be safe cause my wife keeps the house really cold in the summer. And all that cold air just falls into the basement. I run two dehumidifiers 24/7 down there cause that's were my guns are.

Anyway, one of my hunting buddies was on the forum looking at some posts and called me up. He got a kick out of Muley saying I was biased to Knight I guess. Well Knight does make my favorite muzzleloaders. The Disc Elite and the Ultralite. Though my favorite break open is the T/C Triumph.

As far as bullets go I've become friends with Dave at Lehigh many years ago so I would use his bullets anyway. But as everyone can see in Rons test like I've been saying for many years now they are very good bullets. To me easily the best by a long shot. But that's me and that's my results over 100's of kills with them.

But back to Bias!!! I don't like to post everything I shoot and I don't. But I do want to mention this. Last year I harvested big game with Knight rifles and bloodlines. Last year I also harvested game with a Lyman Deerstalker and a bullet from prbullet.com. I also harvested game with a Ultralite arms with smokeless powder 4759 and a 275grn Parker Ballistic Extreme.

So last year I used three different muzzleloader companies, and three different bullet companies. And I also used three different powder companies. And I harvested game with all three!!!

That to me is far from Bias.

Now this year I might be close to bias. I bought a 45cal 1/20 twist barrel for my Lyman so I can shoot Lehigh bullets. And this year I'm gonna shoot my ULA with BH209 and one of the new Lehigh bullets. Really not sure which one but I'll figure it out. And of course I'll take my Knight Ultralite to Colorado trying to harvest another Bull Elk using the new 245grn CF bullet by Lehigh Defense.

I remember you posting that prbullet harvest. I believe you took it with a 45-cal 300 gr. Extreme Elite.

My wallet is bias............. to cheap bullets.

Grouse, you cannot disprove bias by simply demonstrating a history of diversity.

Its funny

We both shoot DISC based rifles and a ULA.....Yeah i said ULA cuz thats what is on mine.

Im still rather partial to my 54-120 though. Its riding shotgun this year if i can get my Super DISC to shoot well sabotless. My Pacnor will no problem but its a pig of a rifle.

So lets see, i shoot a custom Savage 45, a few Knights, a ULA and a Green Mountain 54-120...I guess im biased towards diversity too especially if it something besides a boring ole 50cal.

I love my ULA to be honest. I just wish they would of made it in stainless. That's another reason why I prefer the Knight over the ULA.

I would love to see a anniversary model 45 Disc Elite with a 1/20 twist. And then maybe a 45 1/20 twist Ultralite.

I don't know why people get scared off from rust so easily. I rust my barrels just to make them pretty.

A light weight 45 1-20 or a brush gun would be right up my alley.
