Then again... Shooting into water jugs or wet news paper is a lot harder than flesh from the bullet's I've recovered from game over the years.
I made use of the news paper the postman has been saving for me these past 2 weeks. This container was filled with soaking wet news paper and allowed to sit over night and better part of the day. I shot this with 90gr 3f Goex, 348gr HP Powerbelt @ 50 yards with my CVA Mountain Stalker. What a splash and one hell of an exit hole!!

Exit,

Recovered Weight - 181 grains.

The Mountain Stalker is a .54 caliber ... correct? That is a very impressive exit hole. And it looks like the bullet held together well, although lost a lot of its mass. Which I guess is somewhat expected for a pure lead bullet.
