It was actually more then that!! Who said it failed? I and they got every Deer with the 195. I think you got me confused with someone on another board but maybe not??

Well, maybe not failed, and they're suppose to expand.

Any bullets that Ron tests that doesn't expand is considered failing to most of us.

btw You did say that didn't work well.

Barnes bullets did fail Rons test but I didn't say it. Actually nobody needs to say anything, the test shows all.

I do avoid the Barnes 275gr XPB and 200gr XPB made for 460S&W. Ive seen both fail to expand in the same media that worked beautifully with other all copper Barnes. Both of those bullets have small hollow points like the 285gr Spitfire which ive personally witnessed failing to expand on media and deer.

The XPBs with large hollow points like the 225gr XPB for 45 Colt and the 250gr XPB for 454 perform exactly like the 250gr and 300gr Expander MZs.

Ive shot a bunch of the 195gr BXs into jugs and various media. They appear to perform just fine but i shoot them far faster. The small HP though does concern me.

Yes the 195 Barnes didnt, the 200grn SW much better bullet on Deer size game. And im not a 250 or 300grn SW fan at all. Just the 200 SW worked well for us.

Yes, the 275 XPB I believe worked very well to. The light ones not so good.

I prefer the 200gr SST for deer also. They shoot better for me and have a better BC than the Barnes 195gr BX.

I'd like to see Ron shoot one of the .45 V-Crown bullets in his testing at muzzleloader speeds.

Some prefer big bullets pushed slower. Others, like yourself, prefer smaller bullets pushed faster. That doesn't make the big bullets inferior.

That's True, plus I don't like a lot of recoil
