Tomato Tomato, well damn that just don't work typing it out does it! Guilding, solid copper, pretty much the same thing, Guilding is just a little tougher with the zinc. Just meant no lead.
A slight difference in hardness goes a long way in expanding type projectiles. There is a reason Barnes uses pure copper and its certainly not to save money. Guilding metal is cheaper :D Copper 30-35BHN Guilding metal 45ish BHN for 5% zinc. 10% zinc is around 56BHN. |
