I attended my parish's Easter Vigil mass at 7:30 last night. Nice ceremony and mass, but a bit-long as always. When you are expecting to be there for 2.33 hours, bring something for seat padding, which I did......... my coat.

This Easter Vigil was especially meaningful to me this year as I had a grandson and granddaughter make their First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Very happy for all of you who had a great Easter. Easter for me was just another day. It snowed here off and on all day and I couldn't do anything I wanted to do outside so I decided to stay in and tie flies. My Mrs. and I had a simple meal of pork steaks cooked in sauerkraut, with mashed potatoes and butternut squash from our garden to accompany it. Couldn't even go fishing because the creeks were swollen from snowmelt.
