This is the first time for me. I guess you could say I almost lost my virginity by almost getting scammed on a deal.
Funny thing though - I got an email from the guy today that said "Boy I didn't see that coming. I already told my daughter the money was going to be sent out to her."!
Maybe it wasn't a scam. But better safe than sorry.

You might get his phone number and give him a call. Explain why you did what you did. Maybe it was a case of confusion and miscommunication. He mayh be is willing to send the gun on the condition of payment after receipt.

I did a quick lookup on People Search and there is one by that name in Scottsbluff, NE and it shows he also has a aliases of Stacy Stewart, Stacy Weis, and Stacy Stockhouse and he worked at Lincoln School. Beware of anyone showing aliases, as there is usually a negative reason, especially with the other peculiar stuff you mentioned in your opening post---hint, hint!

Not a good sign.

Semi I dropped him a reply telling him I was still interested and would buy in on the condition that he ship to my FFL and I would send money once rifle was in hand. I haven't heard back from him and likely will not.

Well, you can't lose anything either way.

If it does show up, before you send money ask your local law to run the serial number through the stolen gun registry.

Being a retired LEO, I'm always skeptical. Sorry it happened to you pard, but there are a lot of low lifes out there with no honor or character!!!

As my father always loves to say... " There's only two people in the world I trust. That's you and me. And I am not to sure about you."
