Any experience/opinions- good, bad, or indifferent?
(Sometimes I think one of my favorite things about muzzleloading is the various accoutrement!)

Thank you lemoyne; I'm not referencing maxi-balls/hunters though.
For clarification:
RT0114 Thompson Center Maxi-Shok Bullet Performance Tools
Seat your bullet or round ball with one of the four tips on the end of your ramrod and you will be amazed at the difference in the terminal ballistics of the projectile. By changing the front of the soft lead bullet you can achieve maximum energy transfer by increasing the projectiles expansion. 3 guides - .45, .50, and .54 caliber and a 5/16 adapter.

(My opinion) Better Alternatives
Hornady 385 grain Great Plains Bullets
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/539...oint-box-of-20
320 grain REAL bullets
[email protected]
Email him and he 'usually' has bullets for sale+ a modest shipping cost added
No Excuse 460 grain bullets

My favorite of the (3) shown

Well, for $9 plus $2 shipping, I had to get it.
Ostensibly, it makes hollow points out of conicals and round balls for "improved terminal ballistics",aka, expansion, aka MAXImum SHOK...
I've had my eye on the kit off and on for a few years now so, for $11, even if it's a collectible it's OK.

Trip7.... You shoot these 385 GP conicals thru your inline......and get good groups?
Which inline and what powder combo?.
Thanks!
Love em in my flintlock. Am looking for a conical to shoot in either my Encore or Omega for Colorado.

I have better range-work with the No Excuse 460s. But never tested them hunting. One of these days I'll march off 150 yards on public state land and put up a target. The government range I attend only has a 100 yard range max.
