Default traditions buckstalker issue

Just got back from the range trying out my new buckstalker. I started having problems with the breach opening after the shot and some difficulty closing or keeping it closed? Anyone else had these issues. It does like 90 gr of 777 and 250 gr SST.

Aside from contacting the manufacturer, all I can recommend is to tear it down, clean it and reassemble, making sure all moving parts are working as they should. Inspect the mechanism that latches the action closed, and make sure nothing is obstructing it.

Not knowing your rifle I would suggest what Uncle Norby said. And especially if it keeps failing, contact the company. I would not stand for a rifle that did that.

Contacted Traditions, broke it down and gave it a good cleaning. Gonna try Black MZ powder and see if a less fouling powder cures this problem.
