Default Could not help myself...

Got another Knight Ultra Lite Western Edition... This one will be a dedicated cap shooter...

Now I just need the weather to cooperate and move from the 90's to the low 70's - so I could start breaking it in. Then I would be a happy camper for sure.

I did not draw a late season elk tag, so I am confined to hunting the regular ML season but I did draw an Xtra Whitetail tag (doe tag)

So I am sure the new rifle will get some work...

Very nice rifle. Its in the 60's here. But I never saw a year with so many mosquitoes and deer flies. They just wait for you, dare you, to come outside.

and just today I was thinking we really have an absence of regular garden variety flys and yellow jackets... not complaining though...

What we do have is a real abundance of Aphids and a lack of Lady Bugs...

Mine came with the same problems that Bob's did but for me it was and easy fix. And in away it actually helped Knight out a little bit with my explanation of what was going on.

Knight was really upset that they even made it out to Sportsman's without these issues addressed. The breech plug they were using was a new supply of BP's that had been cut to short. The sub contractor made them to an old specification that Knight had used in the past and that was what was ordered.

So now they have that corrected and that problem should disappear.

I did have to sell a rifle to get this one though.

Nice rifle.
Deer flies are horrible right now but should die out in a few weeks. Just don't go tramping in the tall grass.
Skeeters were horrible, a lot due to all the water from snow melt and the spring rains. You could get to with in 10 feet of the woods and hear them calling you co come give blood. Near 90F heat for 3 weeks had seemed to killed a bunch off and dried up the low areas.
