Default Knight Mountaineer and Ultra lite loads?

I've recently acquired a Mountaineer and Ultra lite and wanted to "speed up" the process of finding a good combo of conical bullets and powder. I've seen most people posting using sabots but I'm only interested in feedback with conicals. I've had good results with my Revolution using a 370 grain TC Maxi Ball and I'll be testing these for sure since I have a ton of them. Has anyone tried other conicals like a No Excuses, Bull Shop or Thor's? I'm also wanting to use Blackhorn 209 powder but am open to others experience and feedback. Thanks!

There are a some more modern conicals on the market than the older variety of lead conicals. Not saying they are better just that they are available. The first one I would mention is the Hornady FPB. There are a lot of people using that bullet as well as the Thor concial. A third one is the Power Belt. It does have a plastic skirt on it, but it does qualify as a conical in Colorado and other states as does the Harvester Saber Tooth. There might actually be another quality conical out maybe sometime late summer.

Of the standard lead conicals on the market, probably the No-Excuse and the Bull Shop conicals are a couple of the better ones for a fast twist ML like the Mountaineer series.

I have used and do use the Bull Shop Bullets... Either the .503-460 grain or the .503-400 grain.

Hope some of this helps...
