Been to all the sporting goods stores and musket caps are nowhere to be found. My cousin has a Black Diamond that uses musket caps but had to buy the 209 conversion kit because he couldn't find the musket caps anywhere. Not even online.

Anyone else having trouble finding them or is it just me?

My assumption is the high demand for primers and .22 ammo has redirected resources away from musket caps.

I am very lucky... a small store near me had a good supply of them in, before all this panic buying started. So they still have some, and I stocked up on them. All you can do is look around. You might have to get some on line.

I honestly cant remember seeing musket caps anywhere in my area in a good while. I don't think there is much demand for them outside of NSSA shooters. #11's are readily available around here. Your friend could have just gotten a #11 nipple vs. having to convert to 209. I'm guessing he didn't want to.
