Default Not really off topic but cute

I took my 9 yo grandson out this evening after school for the special Jr/Sr 3 day antlerless hunt in PA. We crawled into the ground blind about 4:30. The first 10 mins or so were "serious" hunting. Then he asked to use my binos. Sure why not. That took another 10 mins. He then proceeded to rip up the moss that was covering the ground inside the blind and pulling it apart into little pieces. After that I asked him if he wanted a snack. Well for the next hour or so he devoured my 4 slim jims (a type of meat stick snack), a granola fruit and nut bar and a pack of peanut butter crackers. Washed this down with 3/4s of my water bottle.
He then asked if we could go home!
Well at least he came out with me. Next time I need to bring more snacks!

With a nine year old, if you don't see game within the first hour and make it more than ninety minutes you're doing good. The only thing that might keep them longer is playing a handheld electronic game.

He did bring his tablet but decided to leave it in the truck.

Sounds like my first hunt with my Son . I learned to bring a hand held video game and some snacks. They just can't sit still at that age. Maybe a book or crayons or anything to keep them occupied that is quite.

I like the snack Ideas too. Good for dad!
