Well your list is not very complete. I have the two guns I favor a 54 Renegade with a 32 inch Green river 1-70 twist barrel I use a .535 PRB and 120 grains of RS and my long range gun is a custom Hawkens I built back when I was building them it uses 130 grains of RS and a .535 PRB. I have taken a lot of deer [lost count over the years] and several bear as well as 6 boar with these guns and still use them.

So which one do you I think I would pick then?

Number2 because it's closest to my favorite TC renegade 54 cal. Probably the most versatile of the Mls on the list being able to shoot everything u can stuff down it. Plus it can kill virtually any game animal in NA. H
But if u are buying that double kodiak Ml is right up my alley! |
#2 is a Lyman 54 not a 50.
I will also add that the GM sharp shooter is not a Pedersoli Missouri River. I am not saying the Missouri river is better, but it is the only one of the two still in production. Ron |

And yes the list , Lemoyne is very incomplete . That way it didn't become to long of a list . This year I think I will try something different . :s4::s4: |

Ron My Lyman's and Pedersoli's all shoot about the same , the biggest difference is my Pedersoli's look nicer, especially the rocky mt Hawken in maple. But it doesn't outshoot my Lyman . |
I get guys all the time that ask me if the Lyman GPH 50 will shoot the paper patched 500 S&W bullets as well as the green mountains do. I really don't know, but some day I will run into some one here local and do some testing. I would really like to test the Missouri river. I had the chance to buy one in the bargain bin at Cabelas for a couple hundred dollars. I should have bought that one. Ron

Although i would love the White sporting rifle and a 460gr+ conical. im going to choose the Lyman 54cal 1-32 with a discontinued Hornady 460gr? FPHB. Not the hollow point they offered.
1) Its a hammer load 2) It would be one of the lighter choices that would fit my hunting style. 3) I like 54cals and prefer conicals. I would use the White Sporting .451 instead if i could get one that is a bit lighter. I would probably get one in a carbine and a 1-18twist. Then shoot a 490gr+ conical. |
