Ever had a bad dream ?

Man I sure had a nightmare the other night.
I dreamed I finally had the chance to go on my dream hunt.
My once In a lifetime muzzleloader hunt where I could hunt a moose and a big brown bear. This was a drop camp . They flew me into a beautiful pristine wilderness area that was a couple hundred miles from any town or settlement.. We taxied to a stop on this little lake and the guy helped unload everything from the floatplane. With everything I needed to survive for a week piled up around me on the beach I watched as the plane took off rising above the water and then circled one time dipping his wings as he headed back . A little nervousness and trepidation overcame me for a minute but quickly faded as I got busy looking for a place to set up camp and fix a bite to eat.
I couldn't help thinking " how did I end up out here all alone"
What if something happened . I had no way to contact anyone even in an emergency . No Spot message service , nothing . Oh well time to get busy. I was especially thankful to get the tent up and crawl inside as the bugs and Mosquitos were horrendous. I hadn't counted on them being so bad this time of year. I guess everything has its price , especially a dream hunt. My goal was to spend a couple days scouting around but return to the base camp each evening. If I spotted something then I would come up with a plan . On day two I was glassing the distance when i saw the biggest baddest trophy moose Ever , Shucks he was bigger than I had ever seen on the sportsman channel . He appeared to be a good days hike which meant a spike camp as getting back to my base camp wouldn't have been possible
I headed out at first light . About an hour before dark I was about to give up when I heard a crashing sound not 50 yards in front of me.
I was pretty sure this was the guy . I looked intently through my binoculars and finally made out the top of his paddles. I decided that maybe I should beat the bushes and see if he took it as a challenge . I took out a small canoe paddle from my pack and began to rake the bushes . Before I could even react I heard the loudest most awesome grunting snorting and what seemed like a freight train roaring right toward me . The bushes were shaking ,the ground was shaking . Man I was even shaking . I knew he would bust into the open right in front of me . I needed to be ready . It was him or me.
Sure enough he lunged into the clearing full speed right at me . I jerked the rifle to my shoulder .......
That's when I realized it was a bad dream, just a nightmare because as he charged me I saw myself holding a CVA loaded with 100 gr shockeys gold and a power belt.
I woke up in a cold sweat, went downstairs and sure enough there they were . My trusty Knights and Whites . I went back to sleep and slept soundly after that

Man, you got me Sharpsshooter. Here I am reading that long description thinking "this is a mighty detailed dream". Then I came to the punch line and almost fell out of my chair. Best laugh I've had in a month.Anyway, about a week ago I did have a true nightmare. I dreamed I walked to my favorite stand overlooking a little food plot I've been nurturing for years and there sat a blacktop parking lot with a Walgreens Drug Store. Woke up sweating. Got back to sleep and dreamed the same damn thing again. I haven't had it again since that night and hope I never do.

With a load like that you better just go ahead and run. Back about 40 years ago I bought one of them CVA hawken rifles it lasted about 10 shots and the butter soft parts in the lock gave up, after spending some money and a lot of help from an excellent machinist friend and a friend in the heat treat department we made and heat treated a a new trigger sear and heat treated the hammer and it did shoot quite well. I have not had any more CVA products but I hear they are a bit better now.

It was a dream for you. However, my 24 year old son moved to Missoula, MT this past summer.
He was beginning his fly fishing career one fine July morning. As he described it, he was in a creek 20 yards wide, focused on his casting technique, trying to lay the fly in just so.
Out of nowhere a cow moose come flying out of the bushes. He claimed it cleared half the creek on one jump. He fell back into the water as the moose blew snot directly above him. He dropped his pole and took off like a bat out of he!!?
He said he was in 3' of water and the animals knees were still a foot out of the water. The funny part is he left his wallet, phone and car keys on the bank and had to return to the scene of the crime to retrieve all his belongings.
Welcome to Montana young man. I'm sure there was a calf involved but he learned a lesson on paying attention to your surroundings in the wilderness.

You need a Dream Catcher
All you need is a 3 gun rack over the bed with a White, Knight and a Savage or Remington 700ML with the Hunter bolt nose. You can also use a T/C but it has to be a older pre QLA model like a Hawkens or add a GM IBS/LRH/SharpShooter barrel instead of the Savage or Rem.
It ends those kind of bad dreams.
