I was digging through junk getting some stuff together to shoot and low and behold I found a treasure. A sandwich bag with a bunch of 230 gr lehighs. I thought I was out of them since last year. As matter of fact i have been shooting 260 gr 40 cal dead centers since I didnt have any lehighs left. This is just wonderful.
To bad its only a handful.(maybe 40 or so) But hey, it makes me a happy camper . I think I will save at least 4 or 5 just for hunting . The rest shall go down range in the red sabots and see how they perform on paper deer.

Well it is always nice to find more bullets. The other day I came across three 50 round boxes of .570 roundball. I must have found a sale on them and just purchased them. Well now it almost is law I have to go out and shoot some of them. Good thing I like to stock pile.

Glad you found some of those 230's I really do like them. Tom did some testing with the red sabots and the 230's with Black Horn, and did not get real good results. Part of his problem may have been his description of loading - they were really loose in his bore. With the amount of powder he uses he probably pushed the powder cup up around the sabot and gas got out all over the place.
The Super Red - may not be as I hoped - it does and will need a stronger powder cup. Back to the drawing board.
