Default Cheap Wolf!

I stopped by the local Scheels store and they had an older style CVA Wolf (NOT the quick release breach plug style) for $99.99 . It was used but there couldn't have been more than 5 rounds shot out of it - the ramrod showed no wear. Needless to say, I'm a bit tickled at the deal. I needed something for muzzleloader season and wanted an open sights only gun as I scope the other two in-lines in my arsenal. Hoping to get out this weekend and see what $100 gets me in terms of accuracy.

You might be very pleased with what that rifle will do. I assisted a young man one season finding a load for that vary rifle. We found 80 grains of loose Pyrodex RS and a 240 grain XTP was extremely accurate. So much so that during deer season the young man proved it with a fine shot on a nice doe.

If it's the same barrel as the newer model uses. Other than the BP. You should be pleased with it.
