I have a buddy that has an original Knight disc .50 and he is shooting the Scorpion PT gold .260's with the Harvester short black sabots.
Problem is if you tip the barrel downward the load will almost fall out of the barrel.
So the question is... What would be a good "thicker" Sabot?

Harvester has a red sabot that would work its the larger sabot for your 50 cal and the .451 bullet. I think with the .451 bullet the red sabot and bullet would be around .507 or .508 in size.

I would say that depends on where you live. Both sabot supplying co. have a thicker sabot. If you live in the South and have to contend with warm to hot weather when shooting then use the sabot [red ] by Harvester as they hold up to heat much better if you live in the North or the mountains where cold is a main factor then use the MMP Short because they are more malleable in the cold. This makes a major difference in shooting accurately as well as loading.
