Default Cheaper than dirt

About 2 weeks ago I ordered a 57SML sight for my Renegade from Opticsplanet.com. Nothing against them because I've bought a lot of stuff from them with great pricing and service. But after I placed the order I received a notice that the item was on backorder! It would have been nice if they would have told me that at time of order. Will Being the impatient person I am, I called Cheaperthandirt and they had them in stock. So I ordered one and then canceled my opticsplanet order. Hopefully I will have my sight by the weekend so I can sight in my new GM LRH .50 caliber flintlock barrel.

Was it cheaper than dirt, or about the same price?

I have noticed on some sights.. when you order it suddenly will give you a back order warning. I agree, that is helpful. Because I have backed out of orders for that reason and looked elsewhere. Like you, when I want something, I want it right now. And it flips my switch when I order a large number of things and then suddenly I get a back order or worse yet... I had ordered tools from a company for remodeling. Well they send me the nails for the air hammer I ordered, then a note.. the hammer it self was on back order and they had no idea how long it would be until it came in. Needless to say, I demanded a shipping label and they got their entire order back.. at their cost.

I always order by phone, and ask if it's in stock, and when will it ship.

I have an allergy to backorders.

Dave,

Been there...still waiting on a part for my lawn sweeper that I ordered the last week of June and was told it would be back-ordered 2 weeks. I'm about ready to call them and tell them exactly where they can put it!

Semi - yes it was actually $13 cheaper - about 15%. Even with the shipping charges it was cheaper than Opticsplanet.
Dave - that nail hammer issue would have ticked me off too. Same with the lawn sweeper part BPS.
Normally most places will have somewhere on the description that it is out of stock and backorderable.
