I got my Rene flinter all together as previously mentioned in another post. This Rene also had a 2 hole tang and I wanted to install a peep. So I took the peep off my .45 Hawken and drilled and tapped my own hole. Came out perfect (and I didn't have to make 3 trips to the gun shop). I just might take her out tomorrow and sight it in. I just need to shorten the ramrod about an inch.

That is a nice looking rifle and set up. And that longer ramrod will have no effect on the rifle other then make it easier to take in and out, and to clean your rifle with.

I know Cayugad but in the stuff I hunt I like the ramrod flush with the muzzle so it doesn't get hung up or snagged in the brush. And thanks for the compliment on the rifle.

Bronko, I don't think you're going to enjoy shooting that thing. Don't even waste your time this weekend. Did you realize those things use a chunk of rock to make a spark to ignite the powder? How silly is that??

As a forum buddy (and a real "sweetheart" ) I'd hate to see you endure the pending disappointment when there's something I can do to prevent it. Heck, I'd even go so far as to send you the .50 GM/LRH Sinful Sister caplock Renegade as an even swap. It would hurt, but that's the kind of guy I am.

Semi - I appreciate the offer but I already have enough caplocks. This is only one of two flintlocks I have. Besides, all my caplocks are males and to have that sinful sister hanging about will only start trouble amongst the brothers. Then they won't be focused and will start acting up on the range or worse, in the woods. Can't have that.

Hey Bronko,

Ya never know...you might end up with a couple of little .32's if they get to minglin'.

Nice rifle. I love my big Boer Renegade. Too bad TC doesn't make these guns anymore!?!?
