Peep sight issue resolved
#1
At least partially. What I did was take a T/C 7194 peep off my custom stocked ML and take it and the Renegade tang back down to the gun shop. I did this because the custom stock has more drop at the comb which will allow me to use the Williams FP sight on that rifle. And the T/C peep will go low enough to sight in the Rene with some additional adjustment. Because the tang has to have the previous holes welded full and redrilled and tapped for the T/C peep I won't be able to shoot the .58 until next weekend.
And next weekend is work weekend at the cabin so I may not get to shoot it then. But I'll bring it along just in case.

Bronko, my TC Hawken stock/GM .58 barrel combo has a TC 7194 sight. The rear hole of the sight is mounted to the rear hole of the tang. I have the sight set at it's highest possible elevation to get it on target, with no elevation adjustment left. I don't know if that would be the case with a Renegade stock. But given that your tang needs new drilling and tapping anyway, I suggest you get it mounted in the center of the tang between the two tang screws.

Semi - I have 3 of the T/C peeps and each one is set at a different elevation dependent on the height of the front sight and I suspect each stock has some differences in stock configuration. I double checked the sight picture by taping the sight onto the Renegade tang before returning it back to the smith.
