Rosemary, my loving and understanding wife of 39 years, does not hunt. Never has. Never wants to.

But she mentioned at dinner tonight that she's looking forward to hunting season.

That was also my first thought.
But my wife has a different outlook. See as I have told you guys I am retiring the end of August. We are going to FL in Sept and I will be coming back the beginning of Oct for hunting season. My wife will be staying down there until about March sometime! I will go back down for our anniversary in November and for Christmas. Is life good or what!?!?

Could be. At breakfast this morning she said, "You know, you haven't been to the hunting lease in a while. I wonder how your food plots are doing."

Heck, even the dog is looking at me funny these days. I think it has something to do with her being able to get in bed with Rosemary when I spend the weekend at the lease.

Personally... never look a gift horse in the mouth. Not that I am insinuating that your wife is of equestrian background. I personally say your a very lucky man!

My guess is she just likes it when you show off your supreme masculinity through harvesting of wildlife. Something about subconscious primal instincts and all that.
