I bought the .54 T/C Hawken with the intent of selling the barrel and replacing it with a 58 cal GM barrel. I called today and the guy told me he just sold the last one! I guess that is why the line was busy 10 mins earlier...grrrrrr. Well it looks like I will be selling the rifle complete. It will be posted in the classifieds. Check it out.

That is a shame. A .54 caliber is nothing to sneeze at mind you. You have a really good rifle there and I think in a year or two they will be near impossible to find. But I can understand when your heart is set on a .58 caliber.

And Dave, I already have a .54 GM barrel with a 1:70 twist. that rifle shoots PRBs like a champ. I just thought a .58 would be fun as I hear about some of the guys talking about them in the forum.

Have you checked Pecatonica River?

Also, though I don't know what their price structure is, Stonewall Creek will make up a drop in for you.

OR, have your barrel rebored by Ed Rayl or Robert Hoyt.

Semi - Pecatonica is the one who had them but sold the last one right before I called. I don't want to get a new barrel rebored. It would be more cost effective to sell the new barrel and buy an older smaller caliber - even if the bore was gross and have it bored out.
