Default powerpunches arrived

Now I need to get a chance to get out and try them . My goal is to try knurling them first and then sizing them down to .501 and paper patching them if they are to loose. One of those two options should work.

Yeah, that seems a bit light for deer hunting. It might be okay for boiler room shots but I would avoid shoulder shots. You wouldn't want that little piece of lead fragmenting on you

Wanna try a couple in one of your Knights or that 50 cal Savage.?
I bet the TKO factor would be pretty good with about 90 gr 777

Im all out of Knight 50cals but i bet they would shoot ok in my Savage 50cal. The Savage is heavy enough, the recoil might not be too bad. Ive shot some 580gr Parkers in my 54-120 brush gun and they were very unpleasant. Recoil was worse than a 375H&H shooting a 270gr bullet at nearly 2700fps.

BTW a friend sent me a link to a company that makes custom sizing dies for less than Lee. Let me know if you need their info. Lee wont be making any custom dies for awhile and CH4D dies are more than twice the price.

This looks like a prime candidate for the power punches

.504 Super 91 , laminate stock , black iced, 2 pound trigger pull , glass bedded , warne bases and rings .
