Default I wasn't really looking, but hay, there it was

I have had the idea for awhile to purchase a new Muzzleloader, really no good reason, I currently have an older Knight Revolution which seems to function quite well, but have been looking and we all know how that goes. Well today I was in my local WalMart looking for some .22 ammo & low & behold look what they were closing out.
Thompson/Center "Omega" Now I am not sure the Omega was going to be my first choice when the time came to purchase, but I have read some good things about them & I think (I hope) the price was right
This was the last one the store had so it was "put up or get out" I had (have) no idea what price would make this a good deal. all I could go by was WalMarts reg. price ($277.95) & the marked down price. ($189.95), Be it good,Bad or indifferent, I took it home, When we get some warmer weather I will take it out for a test shoot. & let you know what I think. Doc

That looks like a nice rifle. I am sure it will be a shooter. Good luck with it.

Great Deal.

Be prepared for a tight bore. No big deal but I need to go with a Crushed Rib sabot.

I can't believe all the inlines in my local shop. Omegas, Remingtons, Pursuits, Triumphs, etc. And several caplocks and flinters. I could probably go there with a couple grand and clean up.

Yep that's a really great price for a new Omega. You have done good.

I have one, and mine's super accurate. I hope yours will be as well.

Just make sure you clean that sucker good when your done shooting; the blued carbon-steel barrel and bore will rust pretty quickly if you don't.

Congrats!
