Default Biggest Black Powder Buck

Here is a pic of my best black powder buck to date. I was using a Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifle .50 cal, .015" lubed patch, .490" Hornady roundball, and 100 gr Goex FFG. He came in following a doe around 15-20 yards. Shot him quartering to me hitting him between neck and shoulder and the ball exited the middle of rib cage on opposite side and he dropped on the spot.

Nice buck! If he is a nine and if you reverse which has 5 and 4, his near twin is running around out where I hunt. Haven't seen him while hunting but saw him just before season opened. Keep hoping he'll show up.

I've seen 17 deer in just the past two evenings, including three bucks. All of them were in shooting range and some nearly in spitting range. Haven't even cocked the hammer yet.

Didn't put him on the scale. But I did lose the entire neck, 1/2 of the brisket and 1/2 of the shoulder due to shot damage and I still got 55 lbs of meat (actually weighed). He was no monster by any means but you don't see them like that often up here running around in the mountains that often.
