have not had anything to post lately
just finally got a white, white lighting today. picked it up at a auction for what I feel for a good price. needs some tlc. but I been down that road before.
![]() ![]() ![]() I will take a light to it and see if there is any visible pitting. |
Wow!! good luck with that.

Looks pretty neglected . I don't think I could ever knowingly purchase a gun in that condition , even at a good price. I hope it cleans up and shoots good for you . Real shame someone would let a gun get like that , especially a White
|
Hope you got it real cheap.

Doesn't take long for these things to become a real mess does it! High maintenance, but cool to shoot.

It does need a lot of TLC Cory but I have seen guns that were a real mess clean up and shoot pretty darn well. Get yourself (you might have it already) some bore paste and work that bore over good. Pitted barrels can shoot well but they make it a lot harder to do a decent job of cleaning them. Have fun with your new project!
If you didn't pay much you can't go wrong. There are White owners that would be interested in that stock and trigger if nothing else. I do agree that it is a shame the previous owner did not take care of it. Art PS Plug that nipple and get some Kroil or some PB Blaster into that barrel and let it soak for a few days to hopefully help you get the breechplug out of there. |
the breech plug came out easy. have it soaking right now. just finished working on the bore. took a number of patches. there is pitting about half way down the barrel and where the the charge set.
all I can say it was under $100. |
