Still a White guy would tell you thay are the best for conicals...
Actually Ron it is basically the same barrel as your GM-LRH - shoot you probably already no that...
One other BIG point for shooting the longer conicals... the 52's are a 1-26 twist - that raised your eyebrows didn't it?

Oh now you done went too far! I got to do some thinking.
Instead of shipping rifles. I need to find a mould to borrow and paper patch some bullets. Then one of you guys could do the shooting. It has me thinking. Ron

Hey Ron, here's what I could find:
Lee makes a 515-450 and a 515-500
Both nice looking slugs!
RCBS makes a .520 #82170
Lyman makes (or made) a 515-139, 515-141 and 515-142
Plus a 518-145
I'm also interested in this topic. Really liking the Knight 10% discount on their 52s but I would want a mould to cast my own full sizes in case the supply dries up (plus it's just plain fun to diy)
btw: this topic finally forced me to member up here!

First. Welcome Duffer!
Nothing wrong with lurking around. I do it many places. I have messed around with these in my 52. I bought them off a guy on gunbroker who has them always listed.
These are 370"s and 430's I believe. They shot well but I haven't had time to mess with load development, etc.
This picture is a couple I ran through to see how they were catching the rifling. I was wrapping with teflon tape.
