Off topic - PA Archery first day
#1
Getting so caught up with the BH209 and BP topics I almost forgot to tell you guys about my first morning out this year.
Today was PA's opening of archery. My area (as most of PA) has a 3 pt antler restriction. But after seening 5 P&Y or close to it buck earlier this year on the trail cams - I did something this morning I've never done before. I left a legal (6 pt eastern count) buck mosey around me for 10 - 15 mins. and left him walk away. At one point he was only about 13 yds from me. He was testing my patience however as he presented so many easy shot opportunities. I don't need the venison this season so I'm trying to hold out for one of the big boys.

that would be hard for me to pass out in the big woods!
i was out today about 20 miles outside pittsburgh. saw 14 doe, a spike, 4 point, and button buck. Half of them were in range. there was another guy hunting in my area. He shot a doe and it crashed right under my stand at about 9:30, so i called it a day.
