dh21...what is the problem? Give a little more detail, and we might be able to provide some advice.
As far as Knight guns go...as a rule from what I' ve seen and heard, they all seem to shoot very well. In fact, every single person that I know that has one, the guns shoot great. My personal gun shoots as good or better than I would expect any gun to shoot. I would imagine though, like anything, you could come across a bad one.

Odds are, you haven' t tried everything imaginable! How about telling us about your new & fresh powder, what powder load, bullets, primers, cleaning agents, seasoning agents, oils, tight sights, stock to barrel spacing.. etc??

If you are in a hurry to resolve this issue, you can also contact Knight. I believe all Green Mountain barrels have lifetime warranties against defects.

What do the Knight people have to say about this? Are they willing to try to get the gun to shoot properly, and to correct what may be wrong? They should be interested in what' s wrong here! Guns which don' t perform up to snuff don' t help their rep. or sales much!!

Just an fyi...of all the Knights I' ve been around (which is quite a few), they all seem to have one thing in common. They like 90-100gr of pyrodex and knight sabots. I personally shoot 100gr w/260gr knight sabots. It will shoot moa w/ a scope. Hope you get it straightened out. I would contact Knight and see what they have to say.

I also have a Knight Disc. I can generally shoot 2" groups at 100 yards using 120 grains of Pyrodex RS and a 275 grain Precision Rifle spitzer sabot. They also really crush deer. Precision rifle makes some very nice bullets in my opinion. They are not pistol bullets, but have been manufactured specifically for muzzleloaders. You also didn' t give any specifics, but I found that my gun doesn' t shoot well with Pyrodex pellets regardless of the bullet manufacturer, so I switched to loose powder early on. Also, when I got my rifle, I wasn' t please with the factory trigger pull. It was way to heavy and not conducive to a nice squeeze and good groups. After the trigger job, I was a lot happier. I find it hard to believe that your gun won' t shoot well. There are so many combinations of powder and bullet you couldn' t have possibly exhausted the many combinations. Knight makes quality stuff, so you should be able to get that thing to shoot in my humble opinion. Hope this helps

This is something you should of addressed early this spring. Odds are, Knight is going to want your barrel and/or your complete rifle shipped to them. You may not get it back for a month or two. They will find the problem... if not... they' ll likely give you a new barrel or new rifle.

You still never mentioned if you shoot sabots or conicals (or) if you' re shooting with a completely dry barrel (or) what your cleaning methods are. For example: It could be you are using too mild of a bore solvent & have plastic buildup in your rifling.

All you' ve done is complain about your poor accuracy but you really haven' t told us anything you do (or) don' t do!

Another example: I just recently bought a side-hammer that was shot only 8 times in the past 7 years -- that cost $199 new for only $35. The oldtimer said it kept having misfires & no fires so he bought a new one & put this rifle in a garage sale.

Well... after buying it & inspecting it, the original bottom hole of the nipple was way oversized. It cost me only a couple of dollars to fix it. I took it out yesterday & fired 22 shots with it... no misfires & it shoots straight as can be.

We need more info from you (or) contact Knight to get it taken care of.

Deer Hunter 21,I feel your pain!Had a Knight 54 cal wolverine and experienced same problems as you sold gun to a friend thinking bad scope was problem(Trashco). He changed the scope and still we couldn' t get it to shoot a decent group. But persistence finally payed off! Many different loads powder and bullets and finally have the right combo,105 gr.pyrodex Rs and a 330 gr perssision Extreme bullet, that 5 gr.of powder made all the difference. It is possible that you have a barrel with a burr in it,check to see if every thing is smooth and burr free, you may need to lap your barrel. Also he started to line sabot pedals with lands every time and that may have helped also.CallCecil at persision Bullets and he will be more than helpful with his vast knowledge.Good luck
