Ruff triggers, take a look at the CVA Wolf and the TC Impact.

Does the Vortek have a rough trigger?

I have a Vortek UL and love it. The trigger is positioned a little odd, but is smooth. After shooting it a bunch I don't even notice the odd trigger position. Shoots as good as my Omega and easier to clean.

I had a Pursuit XLT. I sold it last month. It always shot well and had good accuracy but it wasn't holding up as well as the T/Cs and CVA. I'm not sure if they use the same light weight alloy in the frames of the buckstalker or ulra lite, but if they do, I would suggest a T/C or CVA over the traditions. After a while, my frame started to develope a small crack and the face of the primer area where the firing pin comes out, was starting to dimple from the fired primers. I emailed traditions about it but they responded that the crack was not in a critical area and the the dimpling of the frame was normal wear. I don't think so. My T/Cs have what looks like a hardened piece of metal where the firing pin comes out and I believe most CVA models have this also. The trigger on the traditions was heavy and had lots of creep compared to my other rifles.
