Default Home from Co.

Got home last night from SW Colorado, blackpowder, drop camp. Had some action but was a little slower than anticipated. One of the guys,(4 in camp) did take a cow. Thor bullet performed like a champ. Slight quartering to angle. The bullet entered the near shoulder dead center on the large bone that goes to the shoulder blade, destroyed that shoulder, went through both lungs, again, total destruction, then exited opposite side. No bullet recovery but it looked like the bullet held up well as the exit wound was 2" diameter. We were impressed with the outcome. Shot was only 35 yards but considering what we have seen with other bullets this was really good.

TC Encore
.50 cal.
300 gr. thor
.502 dia.
100 gr. Blackhorn powder

Here any bugling? It's silent around here.

Not surprised on the performance of the Thor. Hell of a bullet.

pretty good bugling early in the morning, but the bulls were not really coming to calls. they would talk with us for a couple hours but if you couldn't get exactly where they wanted to be they would not come for us. Buy 8:00 am. bulls would be gone for cover. Very little action in the afternoons.

Yeah, that's my style to go after them in the timber during the day.

More time hunting. More fun.

Default Thanks

Gotta thank everyone here that helped when we were setting up for this hunt. The Thor bullets are everything they were said to be.

Glad you had a safe hunt. And it sounds like a good time you had. Got pictures?
