Talking Well I got It!!!

I got with Carlos and now I am the proud owner of a new CVA Accura MR. Dan't believe it only took a day to get to me. I am impressed on the workmanship of this rifle. It is light and stylish. I am very impressed with the weight. Great for us old guys while humping the woods! I went ahead and put my Leupold Ultimate Slam on her and she looks good:

Now the problem, I have to wait to shoot her till next week. I gotta go to my hunt property to do a bunch of work.

I will put her through her paces and will shoot my XTP, Parker bullets and some FPBs in her with BH209!!! I will post a range report on her progress.

What is that finish on the barrel? Do they have the rifle in just stainless finish? Or is that a trick of light, and that is stainless? That's a nice looking rifle with that scope. It seems to fit the rifle. I bet that will be a great shooter.

Not a big fan of the Powerbelt bullets, but are there any that have been improved? They sure are expensive! Would I just be wasting my time shooting them???

The finish is Weather Guard over the stainless barrel.

It is a stainless Begara barrel with a weather shield coating. The stocks have a dura-touch type coating. It really feels great.

I'm sure I will like it. I am a big fan of the break open style ML rifle. I have the Knight Vision and the NEF Sidekick. All the rest of my BP guns are side locks.

Of course now that I took the Ultimate Slam from the Knight Vision I will have to find a replacement. I will more then likely get another one I suppose. It is hard to find a good scope for a ML rifle.

How about the Nikon BDC? Are they worth the time to check out?

If its a rifle you don't shoot a lot, watch for the Cabela's PowderHorn 3-10x40mm For $50.00 (on sale) they are a heck of a scope. Otherwise I have a Nikon Omega on my Genesis and love that scope. Very clear, bright, and just a good scope.

The nikon's are good scopes but I shoot Burris Fulfield II balistic plex scopes on all of my long guns, and my Encore Muzzy. They have held up to any and all loads and bullet combinations, and I'm slowly replacing all my pistol scopes with them.
I guess I'm lucky as I can squint and still see the sights on all of my side locks, but I know in a couple of years I am going to have to go the "Semisane Sinful Sisters" route.

Nice looking CVA Rafsob! I would have the same set up as you. I like My Leupold USMLS, I've got one on my Accura V1.
Mine shoots the 240gr XTP's great with the Leupold and 110grs of Pyro RS and also with 2 50gr Pyro Pellets. Let us know how she shoots.
