Default Bullets to try

I think I might give this bullet a try this season. To many bullets, to little time.

Wow!! that is some terrific shooting. That's a great bullet, rifle, powder, shooter combination you have there.

That is dang good shooting... That should reach out here and touch the intended target...

if they hit anything like they shoot it sure looks like a winning combo.

260 grains of lead right?

I want to try them at 200 and 300 yards just to see. Besides if the bullet I have high hopes on doesn't materialize then this looks good to fall back on.

Ive only tried the 250gr QT version in a slower twist at around 1950fps.

As you can see they did ok and cut very nice holes. I would imagine a relatively big lead 40cal should be pretty effective on game. I bet it carries the FPE very well past 200 yards also.

Very nice shooting. Looks like a good load combo for that rifle.

I've shot deer with the 300 gr Dead Center at around 40 yards and didn't get a pass through. On paper they were awesome out of my Encore with 110 gr 777. On game however it reminded me of how a powerbelt bullet does, only one hole and no pass through. I've since moved on to Barnes with great results on game AND paper. It might have just been me but I think the lead is just too soft... Just my opinion for what it's worth
