Talking Off topic, but Interesting!

I know this is way off topic, but it is interesting and we do other things besides BP or ML'ers. This will be my varmint whacker!!!

I finally got word from my retailer that the BATF finally approved my tax stamp for my suppressor! I submitted for it back in February.

Not my gun. I will be placing mine on my GSG 1911 .22 lr pistol.

Nice thing about this model is the ease of cleaning. It is all steel and can be opened easily and cleaned much faster and done completely.

what decrease in volume does that provide? Pretty cool. That on a .22 should hardly be louder then a good snap of the fingers I am guessing.

Well actually Dave it is louder then you would think. this suppressor will lower the db levels to around 115. It will still be noticeable, but not ear splitting. I could lower the sound more by using lower velocity rounds, but then I will have problems cycling my slide.

I guess we watch too much TV. Those guns with this set up are shooting blanks and sound about the level of a mouse fart.

But it will still be lower and fun to shoot without earpros.

That is one thing I have never shot was a weapon with a suppressor.

I have seen some homemade ones being shot on You Tube, but you can't trust the sound off something like that.
