What would you do?

I have a chance to deer hunt on private property in another state, but not to far away. There are some nice deer there.
I was going to use a muzzleloader, but had second thoughts.
Here are the choices.
Bow : sept 15 to Dec 31
Rifle ( I would use a muzzleloader) 10 days in Nov
Muzzleloader - month of Dec.
What would you do?
I ended up getting the bow tag just because it gives me 3 1/2 months instead of 10 days . But I keep thinking I should have stuck with the rifle tag for Nov.
I hate second guessing myself.

Why not both? You said its not too far away. You can combine your bow hunting with some scouting. And if you get lucky - great. If not, go back with the ML and shoot one that you've scouted earlier.
Makes sense to me. That's what I would do.

Both are still a challenge. And you working yourself understand that sometimes.. you just can't get away. The bow season offers a longer opportunity to go and hunt when its right for you. So I think you made a wise choice. You can always muzzleloader hunt your own place and get the satisfaction from that.
