Default Just in case.

Well I got my gun together just in case they change and allow the
1X scopes. It's a hybrid . 50 cal Long Range Hunter barrelled action, green synthetic Thumb Hole Mountaineer stock, lehigh conversion breech plug, and the Nikon 1x20 scope. Now I just got to get it sighted in. I will post a pic when I get a range session in.
Up to this point My main gun during muzzy season has been the 54 cal Lyman GPR with the peep. I will leave it the same, as after 32 years you kinda get used to some things and dont want to change them
It was my first muzzleloader and I built it from a kit in 1981. I built another one 4 years ago. It has to hunt at least once every season no matter what. My inlines have mostly been for rifle season til now.
the 1x scope rule may change that.

I have a Knight LK-93 that wears a 1x32mm T/C Hawkins scope. I use it when I hunt the marsh area. All shots are very close in there, and light is bad, so that 1x allows me great light gathering and is deadly out to 50 yards. What more could I need in there. Quick to point and get on target. A 1x scope to me is an excellent aiming device.

I got to convince my wife of those facts. I put the Simmons 1x on her LRH so she could try it out. She wants me to take it off. She said she wants to stick with open sights because it takes her longer to get a bead with the scope. She is convinced that she can get on the deer quicker with the open sights. Oh well. It's up to her I guess.
